Beginning Sewing BS1A
Face it…you know very little about sewing, if anything. Staples and duct tape are probably found in your sewing kit. Believe it or not, you’ll leave this class with a completed pair of drawstring pants utilizing Wild Ginger’s Click and Sew software to make a pair that FITS the FIRST time! This class moves really quickly and fills even more quickly!

Sewing S1B - The Skirt
You might have thought it not possible, but you ploughed through 1A, and are ready to tackle the world. However, on the way to world sewing domination, you have a couple of stops to make. Enter Sewing S1B! Continue to hone your sewing skills by learning to install invisible and railroad zippers and make French seams. We’ll visit Wild Ginger’s phenomenal Click ‘N Sew pattern software to make a gored (a gore is a panel) skirt. You choose the length and the style, and never worry about troublesome FIT again!

Sewing S1C - The Dress
You’re feeling darn proud of yourself, and rightly so! French seams and zippers pose no threat, and you’re ready to conquer the world! During this next stop on our sewing series, you’ll make a dress modeled after that mid-century classic style with a fitted bodice and full skirt — incorporating the incomparable Wild Ginger Click ’n Sew pattern making software! From buttonholes to flat-felled seams and classic mid-century fashion, this class will send you squarely and securely on your way into the world of garment sewing!

Sewing S1C - The Pants
Another new addition to our ever-growing series of garment classes, in this series you’ll make a pair of jean-styled pants. Not for the faint of heart, there’s a bit of work involved, but the rewards are amazing! As in the 1C dress class, you’ll still visit flat-felled seams, but instead of collars and buttonholes and invisible zippers, you’ll learn how to install a fly-front zipper and pockets. And you’ll see just how a pair of pants comes together.

Heirloom Basics HL1A
There’s little in the sewing world that can make your heart skip a beat like heirloom stitchery.
From pin tucks to rouching, from Madeira appliqué to entre-deux and well-beyond, heirloom is like comfort food for folks who sew! In this four-session class, we’ll dive deeply into all aspects of heirloom sewing by machine all the while making a blouse, a coverlet, pillow tops or simply just a sample book from the panels.

Mismatch Medley
Think baseball for a moment, then think baseball shirt. Then take that baseball shirt and feminize it — shorten the length a bit. Draw out the side seams a bit, and then cut the shirt into panels and layers and insets of fabric all seams serged on the overlock. All of a sudden, with a minimum of effort, you’ve got a shirt that has its roots in baseball but branches into a truly creative and wearable work of art. 2 Sessions, $60 plus pattern & materials.

The Big Shirt
The theme of this studio workshop is “Oxford button down, collared long sleeve shirt” — blown up! You’ve just got to reassemble the puzzle. The variations on this theme are endless, and in this studio workshop, you’ll spin off your own variation on the theme, whether you shorten and vent the sleeves, drop out the collar, strip-piece a yoke, flatten or shape the hem — there are a myriad of possibilities to ensure your perfect self-expression. 2 Sessions, $80, plus pattern & materials.

Overcome Your Overlock-Yoga Pants & Top OYO
And yet, another NEW addition to the schedule (the “sch” pronouced “sh” for added effect), we thought the perfect companion to absolute terror was absolute bliss! It’s time to move through your serger fears! And what better way than to move through your overlock panic as you make a pair of yoga pants or pullover top which you can wear once you’ve completed them at your next yoga class? And, you can make it from our new organic cotton/hemp jersey knit thus doing much good for yourself and the environment

Racket Jacket RJ
Becky quilted the fabric for this white-on-white quilted jacket. Russell made the jacket from Becky’s fabric. It is displayed at the register and has been quite the conversation piece. In session 1, we’ll take measurements to build a custom fit box coat utilizing Wild Ginger pattern making software. As soon as you’re measured, we’ll print patterns for you, and you’ll spend the rest of the day planning and quilting your jacket fabric. In session 2, we’ll cut patterns and construct the jacket.

Practically Perfect Host(ess) Apron PPHA
Believe it or not, it takes just a yard of fabric to construct this fabulous apron. The greatest thing to happen since sliced bread, its styling dates back just about as far, but you’ll certainly be the toast of the party!
