Okay, so you thought you could make just one stack and whack??? Hah! Here's a NEW version of a stack/whack -- it's a 4-pack! This is a new turn on the basic stack and whack concept, this time made with 4-patches. Yep, it's true. You have to see it to believe it, and it's awesome. This time, you’ll find out that log cabins can be A-frames!! It’s true. Whether you mastered the diamonds in last trimester’s class or are just now venturing into expanding your log cabin vocabulary, this class promises to get your creative juices flowing. Creating log cabins in triangle shapes offers oodles of possibilities by utilizing color placement and design options. The ever-versatile log cabin rises to a yet another level; come join the fun! Dyeing to Design
with Brian Dykhuizen
During his first visit to Southern California and to Sewing Arts Center, Brian is offering a workshop developed specifically for us: “Dyeing to Design” – a 3-day intensive quilt design workshop incorporating Brian’s unique fabric dyeing techniques, quilt design and quilting.
Day 1 is an introduction to Brian’s fabric dyeing techniques — you’ll dye and paint several yards of fabric for your personal use! There’s a day off between Day 1 and 2 so that you can prepare your dyed fabrics.
Day 2 is all about design in which you will utilize your fabrics to design a wall-hanging size quilt.
Day 3 is all about quilting your masterpiece. This workshop is all inclusive (all you need do is show up with a basic sewing tools ), and is limited to 8 students. $400.

Curvaceous Curves CC
Be not afraid of circles, curves, or other non-straight quilting lines! We’re gonna open up lots of creative options that can come about when playing with anything and everything curvy, including a variety of curved piecing techniques, working with circles – appliquéd, fused, pieced – and more.
In each monthly session, a new technique will be featured – one that can be used on its own or in conjunction with other curvy techniques to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. You won’t want to miss out on any of the sessions, and folks have been chomping at the bit for this, so sign up early!!!

Racket Jacket RJ
Becky quilted the fabric for this white-on-white quilted jacket. Russell made the jacket from Becky’s fabric. It is displayed at the register and has been quite the conversation piece. In session 1, we’ll take measurements to build a custom fit box coat utilizing Wild Ginger pattern making software. As soon as you’re measured, we’ll print patterns for you, and you’ll spend the rest of the day planning and quilting your jacket fabric. In session 2, we’ll cut patterns and construct the jacket.
