On the Hoooommmmeeee Stretch at Sewing Arts
Morning folks! I'm a little concerned, as it's already 10:30 and I'm only on my 2nd cup of coffee... I'm slacking off...
Lots going on! Our Rock Paper Scissors camps are full speed ahead! As I type, there are 10 newbies sewing up a storm! There are still spaces left in a couple of the camps toward the end of summer, so if you've been on the fence, it's likely you'll want to jump soon!
Some of you may have noticed that we launched an early morning Fast Track series for our beginning sewing classes. We did it as a lark, simply to see whether or not folks would enroll. Much to my surprise and to the chagrin of my 3 Border Collies who now only get to go to Runyan Canyon 5 days a week, it's taken off, too! So, look forward to more of those bleary-eyed classes showing up in the fall.
Our liquidation sale continues through the end of the month - just 8 days away. There's still lots to be had (I've been clearing out the store rooms...) at very good prices. This week the discount on fabrics and notions increase to 40% off with credit/debit cards and checks, 50% off with cash. Robison Anton and Hemingworth machine embroidery thread are BOGO (Buy One Get One -- took me awhile to understand what that acronym was.) All you new Designer SE and Designer Diamond embroidery machine owners - this is the time to stock up!
There's still great deals to be had on cabinets, sewing and overlock machines and embroidery software. And there's still one Designer SE LE half price package left, as I ordered one too many...
And, if you're on the fence about a purchase - any purchase at all at Sewing Arts Center - make me an offer! OWNER IS MOTIVATED! It's likely I'll counter (though you never know - I've let quite a bit walk out the door for less than I paid for it), but let's talk about it!
Let's see...what else... Oh yeah! Stanley and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary yesterday! Yep, one of 18,000 legally married gay (yes, we're very happy) couples in California. As you might imagine, I have lots to say on THAT subject... I will admit, its a little odd to be party to such an exclusive membership, but I am grateful to be married to him lo these 15+ years later. I'm certain that time will afford all adults who profess love for one another the opportunity to express themselves in similar fashion...
