Wanted...Dead or Alive...

Published: Wednesday - October 22, 2008

Hi, folks! Just back from the "Happiest Place on Earth"... Disney World... for a wedding for Stanley's nephew and now niece-in-law (I guess that would make them mine, too!) I officiated the ceremony (yes, it's true...) that was performed in both English AND Italian (Luisa Bottari -- she's one of our customers -- SHE ROCKS! She translated the service for me). By and through the magic of Achille, one of several friends and family who flew in from Italy for the fete (that'd be French -- I'm not sure of the Italian), I spoke Italian, and, I have to say I sound amazing in Italian! It was quite lovely, and if you want to be spoiled out of your mind, be shuttled to Epcot for cordials and desserts after dinner and dancing to watch the fireworks right on the waterfront. I LOVE fireworks! (Of course I do...)

Anyway, how are you? All's well here. I've almost recuperated from the wedding, and Becky is making a miraculous recovery from her wrist surgery. Yolanda's moved into her new digs...and Ruby, Lugosi and Samantha are quite fine, too. Though, while vacationing at Becky's Doggie Day Spa, they almost made it to China... just a few...more...feet...but we showed up...) It's hard to chastise a dog that's got dirt embedded up to her chest and whose white muzzle is muddied to her eyes when she is SO proud of what she's accomplished...

Now, to shop news: We've extended our "Wanted Dead or Alive" to include this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 23 (that's tomorrow!) through October 25th. (Some folks didn't receive their postcards until Saturday...hmmmm...) So that's good news for everyone! It's the last time we'll be offering up this promotion, so you're going to want to take advantage of the fact that during this time your machine is worth double its trade-in value -- up to $3000.00 toward the Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond or Designer SE! And, if you need, we can also make financing available to you through GE Financing on the Home Source card!

We're also making special trade-in deals on other Husqvarna Viking sewing and overlock machines during this time, so even if the Designer SE or Designer Diamond aren't the perfect fit, we'll be happy to put you in another machine that'll bring a sparkle to you eyes! Cabinets and software are also on sale, and can be financed, too! (By the way, there are still two trade-in Designer SE's available. And we have three Husqvarna Viking Designer II embroidery modules available. If you own a Designer II and don't have embroidery, these are a steal! Of course, classes come with them, too!)

We're having a sale on fabric as well! All Halloween fabrics and Westrade florals are 50% off (one yard minimum cuts), and Christmas fabrics (just for you, Kathy Lee) are 25% off (no minimum).

We're fast approaching the holidays, and as we've done in the past, we'll be participating in the "Shoes That Fit" program, providing shoes for children in need in our local schools. We've also been approached about "adopting" a family, and will be doing that, too (there are lots of "also's" and "too's" in this little bloggie blog of mine...). In this time where need is going to be more apparent than ever, whatever you can do will certainly help to brighten the day. Give a holler to Becky at Rebecca@SewingArtsCenter.com and she'll give you all the particulars.

That does me in! Have an absolutely fabulous day! See you soon!
