It's December at Sewing Arts

Published: Wednesday - December 2, 2009

And we've decorated! So, it's all quite festive.

So, just a few things to tell you. First: We're going to hit our 100,000th sale tomorrow - probably first thing in the morning! And the person who ends up having the 100,000th sale is going to be quite surprised, too, to find out that they're going to receive an extraordinary gift certificate! And, it'll launch our 100,000th Sale SALE! Everything in the shop will be on sale for the next 1000 sales! Lots of great incentives, lots of great prices, and lots of amazing reasons to get over to Sewing Arts Center ASAP to cash in on the savings for the holidays! You'll absolutely want to check out our 10FOR10 bins. Mix and match, you'll find patterns and paints, threads and notions, fat quarters and bolt ends -- all 10 for 10 Dollars. You'll find embroidery design disks marked down to $10, too! Just the ticket for the holidays... You'll look like you spent thousands of dollars...

Believe you me, you're not going to want to miss it. And based on the number of folks who walk through the door, I project that we'll hit our 1000th sale cap by Friday of next week.

And, to make it even easier for you to get in here for the holidays, we'll be open on Sundays through December 20th from 12-5 PM for your shopping convenience.

Next up is Sharon Schamber... Hold on to your hats, she's here THIS WEEKEND! I'm elated. (I'm hoping her talent rubs off this time on to me!) Classes are filled Friday and Saturday (oops, one cancellation just this evening for Saturday, so one spot has opened up), but Sunday's class is still open in which she teaches how to paint on fabric. I know... painting is intimidating. But Sharon brings great freshness and enthusiasm to it that'll have you painting on fabric in no time at all! Give a holler before you miss out on this rare opportunity.

And lastly, our first sewing video is up and running on YouTube! I was a little apprehensive, as you might imagine, to see my face. And though I'm a little stiff in this first piece, I'm very pleased with the results. And Eric Christopher Anderson has done magic creating the video for us! You can check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvRvXijGoQk&fm=22. It shows you how to make a fabulous Christmas stocking in minutes!

That covers me for the minute. Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving, and we look forward to seeing you at the shop very soon! Have a great day!
