Sewing S1C - Ahhh...the Jeans

Time and again, people tell me you don't save money when you sew. Well, when was the last time you purchased a custom pair of jeans for the cost of fabric and your time?

One of Russell’s students who recently finished making custom jeans was apprehensive about taking the class - not because he was concerned he wouldn’t be able to successfully finish the project, but because he thought he was just going to be making a pair of standard “dungaree” jeans. He bit the bullet, signed up for the class, and at the end, told Russell he needed to change the class description to more aptly reflect the fabulous jeans you’ll be making.

So there’s no question, in this series you’re going to make a pair of custom fit jeans. This class is not for the faint of heart, as there’s a bit of work involved. But the rewards are amazing! You’ll visit flat-felled seams and learn how to install a fly-front zipper and jean pockets. You’ll learn how to adjust the rise, the waistband, the taper of the legs, and you’ll see just how a pair of pants comes together. 5 Sessions (FasTrack - 8 Sessions). $159 plus fabric, pattern and supplies.
