Rock Paper Scissors RPS2 - The Summer Series

Summer is upon us and folks are clamoring about dates for our very popular Rock Paper Scissors Summer Camp Program! Believe it or not, more than 100 children completed our Rock Paper Scissors Studio classes last summer! (Whew!)

Introduce your child to his or her sewing potential with our Rock Paper Scissors Studio Series! Your child will develop his or her sewing skills and enthusiasm for this wonderful art form while making purses and bags, pillow cases and skirts, pajama pants and stuffed animals, quilts and shorts and — well, the list goes on! Open to all children ages 9-16. All supplies are provided for all series. All you need provide is lunch and/or a snack!

RPS2 Paper Studio Series

The Paper Studio, our intermediary series for returning students ages 9-13, is devoted to those folks who have participated in our curriculum and are comfortable and ready to move ahead. This class is still project based, but students delve more into accessories, wearables and embellishment, mirroring current fashion.

RPS Educational Staff

We’re pleased as all get out to have Betty Anderson with us again to teach our RPS1, 2 and 3 summer programs! She brings years of experience teaching sewing in public school, and she is madly adored by her students!

RPS Enrollment Details

As in past years, we’ll provide machines in the classroom, and all sewing supplies, patterns and materials. (Returning students are welcome to bring their machines purchased at Sewing Arts Center or to use a classroom machine.) We are happy to be able to bring you the return of this series’ at last year’s price -- just $249 per 4-day week. Minimum enrollment is 7 and maximum enrollment is 12 students. If a series doesn’t garner enough enrollments (it rarely but occasionally happens), we’ll try to let you know at least two weeks in advance so that we can enroll your child in another section.
